Nice to meet you!
Hi, I'm Anya, and I've come a long way since I made a rocking Buffy the Vampire Slayer site in high school! These days, I'm a front-end web developer based in Toronto, and a graduate of HackerYou's Front-end Web Development Immersive program. I'm friendly and easy to work with, and I love to plan, strategize, and make detailed lists so that projects stay organized.
When I'm not coding or making lists, I like hiking, baking cookies, reading 19th-century fiction, and attending history events in the GTA. English country dancing, anyone?
Let's connect!

What I do
I have solid technical skills, and even better, I'm always learning more. If I don't know something, I strive to master it and add it to my tech arsenal. What I like best is becoming more awesome by learning new things.
I'm way into HTML5 and CSS3 because I love the challenge of perfectly duplicating a design in code; as a detail-oriented person, I'm into getting the little things spot-on. I also love the potential of JavaScript and jQuery for making fun applications, and WordPress for making user-friendly sites. Whatever the skill, there's always more to learn, so I'm never bored. There's no such thing as TOO awesome, after all!
I've got a strong foundation in the following, and I'm always building on it:
What I've made
Picnickity
JavaScript API Application
HTML, CSS, Responsive Design, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax
A web application that helps Canadians plan picnics. The user enters the desired date of their picnic, and the app tells them whether the weather will be favourable. Then, the user enters the dietary restrictions of their party, and the app suggests suitable recipes.
